As parents we are ultimately responsible for what our kids have for their school lunch. Whether they eat it or throw it away is another challenge.

We all want our kids happy and healthy, so understanding that the foods in their lunch box is a critical part of the school day. It effects their concentration, development and most of all there performance. For some kids the quality of there lunch can also effect there behavior.

It is essential for our kids to have a nutritional lunch consisting of

  • grains
  • fruit or vegetables
  • milk or dairy
  • some meat
  • small amount of fats or sugars

Now for the most of us school mornings are hectic, with the sibling rivalry, the lack of enthusiasm as they can’t find or forget their homework. Meanwhile everyone needs to be ready and out the door in a short space of time. Well we are here to help.

Healthy nutritional foods and healthy kids snacks can be very expensive to buy from the supermarket for daily lunches so we have put together lots of school lunch ideas and daily sample menu plans to help you throw together a quick homemade lunch covering the nutrition basics.
