Spooky Halloween Spider Cupcakes

Spooky Halloween Spider Cupcakes

Have fun with your kids this Halloween and make some quick and easy Spooky Spider Cupcakes. This cupcake recipe is so quick and easy to prepare and the kids just love them. The icing decoration is what may take the time on these cupcakes. Although I have tried to make it as simple as possible, when making cupcakes with toddlers you need quick and easy. Older children have the patients to decorate but younger one like to decorate the cupcakes then eat. Well this is the case in my house anyway.

Enjoy this Halloween and enjoy spending some time with your kids. Children develop a love for cooking when they start a young age, cupcakes are a lot of fun to make and frost. Happy Halloween everyone.

Ingredients

Cupcakes
1 1/2 cups of self-raising flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
125 grams of butter
2/3 cup of sugar
2 eggs
Vanilla
1/3 cup of milk

Frosting / Icing
1 cup frosting / icing sugar
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon water
Jelly Beans
Black Icing pen

Lets Get Baking!

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a cupcake tray with cupcake papers.

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Stir well until blended thoroughly. Then beat on high for 2 mins.

Spoon mixture into your cupcake papers.

Bake for 15minutes, or until spring back when you press down with your finger. They will be pale on top but look light and fluffy.

Allow to stand for 20 minutes before applying frosting.

To make the frosting mix the butter, icing sugar and water together until blended. Spread over your cupcakes.

Cut jelly beans in half and place on your cupcakes then pipe black icing on as the face and legs.

Hope your children enjoy these as much as mine.
