Cheese and Bacon Muffins

Bacon and Cheese Muffins

Muffins are a fantastic lunch for kids of all ages. These tasty muffins are a healthy lunch and a good alternative to sandwiches. Lots of kids get sick of sandwiches day after day and then again some kids don’t like sandwiches at all. Muffins are a great lunch on the run. One of my kids like to eat on the go. They have sports practise at lunch and need to be able to grab lunch out of the bag and eat as they walk to the oval for training. Ham and Cheese sandwiches just don’t work on these occasions.

I don’t butter these and my kids are happy. My toddler loves the smaller muffins so I always make 6 large muffins and then 6 to 12 smaller muffins. Depending on the size you like you may get 12 smaller ones. The good thing with muffins is that the choices are all yours. These muffins take less than 10 minutes to get into the oven then 15 minutes in the oven so can also be a great afternoon snack.
